Chris Chamley was at Chadacre from 1977 to 1979 and farms at Pebmarsh with his wife Denise. Great House Farm comprises of 500 acres of owned and rented land. They also contract farm 1,000 acres. Current arable crops are wheat, oats, spring barley and borage. They have a flock of North Country Mules that they cross with a Suffolk for spring lamb production and to ensure fresh grazing is always available they rotate grass leys using it as a break crop.

Chris and Denise have two children and three grandchildren. Son Richard is an accountant in London and daughter Verity farms locally with her husband Michael. Verity and Michael have a suckler cow herd, producing beef for retail and wholesale production. Their farm consists of 200 acres of grazing with an additional 150 acre contract mixed farm. Verity gained a masters degree in crop production which was part funded by the Chadacre Trust. Michael is a farrier and has a well established business working in the area.

The evening will finish with refreshments . There will be a charge of £5 per person attending.
This will be collected on the evening and is to help cover ongoing administration costs of the COSA organisation.
